PAX Gymnastics celebrated a ribbon cutting with the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 17.

The event took place at 375 East North Street, Suite #101, in the Clocktower Commons area where PAX Gymnastics is located. It may be familiar to some as the former home of the Teddy Bear Company.

The gym offers instructional classes for ages one year and up. Classes include those for preschool age, homeschoolers, tumbling, adult gymnastics, and private lessons.

Owner and head coach Brigitte Laketa said the gym actually opened on March 15, 2021.

“We’ve had an awesome reception,” she said. “Families were ready for their kids to do something active.”

The PAX Gym Ninja program develops skills that carry over to other sports and incorporates freestyle movement as well as obstacle training to teach participants coordination, speed, strength and agility.

The gym has a team with 39 members ages 5 to 14 that competes all over the state.

PAX Gymnastics also offers birthday parties, camps, clinics, and special events.
