On Saturday, June 21, three students from Professional Karate Schools of America (PKSA) Chelsea competed along with several hundred youth and adults at U-M Dearborn Field House during a summer tournament.
Joseph Branden Merkel, Caley Plank and Regan Plank each won silver and gold medals for their skills in their respective age groups.
Each of them is just a couple years away from getting their black belts.
The school specializes in Tang Soo Do karate.
