Polly’s to offer senior hours starting March 20

Starting Friday, March 20 will offer senior citizen hours at the Chelsea store at 1255 South Main St.

The SENIORS ONLY hours will be effective Friday, March 20. Anyone over the age of 60 will be considered a senior citizen. The hours designated as SENIORS ONLY WILL BE 6-7:30 a.m. seven days a week.

We are asking our customers to respect our request not to shop at our stores during the above stated hours. This is being done out of concern for our senior citizens. But we also need to be concerned about the health and safety of our store associates. They are under a tremendous amount of stress as it is. The last thing we want to do is put additional strain on them by asking them to have to act as ‘enforcers of the law.’ The cooperation of our customers is essential if our efforts to protect the health of our senior neighbors have any chance of succeeding. We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Thank you,
Polly’s Country Market and Country Market

  1. This is a wonderful gesture by Polly’s and will allow seniors to limit their contact with large numbers of people. I just want to send my appreciation. Thanks

  2. Since I have to drive from Manchester-the food desert-I will not be able to visit the store between 6-7:30. Some retired people do NOT get up before the crack of dawn. Thanks for the effort anyway.
