Hopefully readers have taken note of the changes in Chelsea Update’s coverage this year.
As my eyesight slowly improves, I’ve begun to get out and about more to remind folks that I’m more than just 10 fingers behind a keyboard after my nine-month eyesight-imposed “hibernation.”
I’ve covered some meetings in person including the Chelsea Area Fire Authority, the Chelsea Downtown Development Authority, and the Chelsea City Council to name a few.
In addition, we’ve expanded our coverage to include the Lima Township Board, the Lyndon Township Board and the Sylvan Township Board. I’ve taken on covering both the Lima and Lyndon boards and Lisa Carolin is covering the Sylvan Township Board as well as the Chelsea Planning Commission.
We won’t make it to all of the meetings in person, so Lisa and I are both thankful for Zoom options, but there are still meetings that don’t offer this option. If you don’t see a byline, it’s because I wrote the story.
The good news is I am now able to increase the amount of time I spend looking at a screen and am slowly beginning to drive in the dark to early morning and night meetings.
