Publisher’s message: CU offices closed this week

A big thank you to groomer Amy Creteau of Lane Animal Hospital for beautifying Buzz before we head to the Rally National Championships.

For the first time in almost five years, I am taking a week off and the Chelsea Update offices will be closed from Monday, March 20-Sunday, March 26.

Buzz and I will be competing in the National Rally Championships this week.

I’d like to thank Amy Creteau for making Buzz look absolutely beautiful before we go and bless you, my friends, for agreeing to keep my house occupied and safe.

To Chelsea Update readers, don’t worry, there will be plenty of news for you. Maybe not as much each day as readers are used to, but the site won’t go dark.

But, this also means that I will not be promptly responding to email or texts or phone calls. So, please be patient. I am taking time off. Really.

I’ll begin playing catch-up on Sunday, March 27 and it might take me a bit to wade through all the information that was sent. So, again, I ask for your patience.

I’ll also take this opportunity to remind readers that this one-person daily news operation is published for the benefit of this awesome Chelsea Community. It’s my full-time job and I rely on your donations and my advertisers to continue publication. So, hint-hint, donations in any amount can be made out to Chelsea Update and sent to 18829 Bush Road, Chelsea, MI 48118. All donations are super appreciated.

I’d also like to thank the following folks who were kind enough to support all of my hard work this year.

  • Chelsea Community Kitchen
  • Larry Ledebur and Susan Love Whitelaw
  • David and Betty Murphy
  • Mary and Jim Randolph
  • Kurt Kowalski
  • Jenn Ridley
  • Sharewords
  • Vincent and Shirley Burg
  • Dr. Jerry Waldyke
  • John Budinger
  • Jim and Victoria Breining
