It’s been a while since I’ve updated readers about my eye so here you go.
I lost count of the folks who saw me at fair, and asked how I was doing. I’m in a holding pattern waiting on the results of the next appointment a week from today.
I won’t sugarcoat it, it’s been a very long spring and summer viewing the world through one eye. My brain is tired, I’m tired and I just want to see the world through two eyes again. And get my old stamina back, too.
Aidan would totally agree. He’s spent almost five months with me not being able to do a whole lot with him.
So, I’m hoping that on Sept. 10, I’ll get good news and can plan for the fourth and hopefully, last, eye surgery. I’m told it’s a two-week recovery from this one, but no crazy sleeping or recovery positions. Just taking it easy and more eye drops.
I’ll let everyone know once I have an update.
In the meantime, I’d like to thank the following people who were kind enough to make non tax-deductible donations recently. And please understand that although I usually send hand-written thank you notes to donors, they take a lot of time to write and with my eye situation, I’ve had to cut back anywhere I can to not tax my one good eye more than necessary.
That said, if you’d like to contribute to the ongoing daily publication of Chelsea Update, you can make a donation in any amount through the donate button on the home page of the news site, or send a check in any amount made out to Chelsea Update and mail it to 18829 Bush Road, Chelsea, MI 48118.
