Publisher’s Message: Thank You for Your Support

My garden is ready for planting.

I don’t know about you, but the periodic warmer temperatures translated to me spending more time outside dealing with the annual winter clean-up of my garden and property.

Mother Nature did a masterful job of helping my trees shed hundreds of branches and limbs. So, I participated in my personal version of pick-em-up sticks – after almost a year of impersonating a sloth because of my eye.

And, with the help of friends, there are two more raised beds ready to be planted and the bottom of the fence is now “no-rabbits-allowed” fortified.

Since I never pulled all the dead vegetable plants at the end of the growing season last year, that task is checked off the list, too.

It’s been a while since I updated readers about my eye. I recently had a retina check-up appointment with a new surgeon and the news was pretty much as I expected. My vision isn’t going to improve much, if at all. I continue to adapt to my “new normal” vision and thankfully, my right eye is working overtime to assist in my efforts.

My eye is still healing from all the surgeries that were performed on it last year, so the new surgeon has recommended I use a prescription eye drop once a day to assist in the healing.

I go back in September for another check-up.

The good news is I have been released into the wild again so, I’ll be bee-bopping around Old Faithful, my little tractor mowing this place, and I can resume lifting objects that weigh more than 5 pounds. We shall see how my back feels about this now-lifted weight restriction. Smile.

While I have your attention, I’d like to thank the following people who chose to generously support my efforts and the daily news published on Chelsea Update.
