Buzz and I wanted to let readers know that we are going on vacation May 26-May 30.
We are taking time off to compete in a couple dog shows in Kalamazoo during the Memorial Day weekend.
Although we won’t be gone the whole time, we do plan to take a break from our daily work schedule, and perhaps indulge in some other fun stuff locally together, too.
We haven’t had an opportunity to explore all the new local walking paths that have appeared during the last few years, and Buzz hasn’t been swimming at Mill Lake in years, either.
If your plans don’t include going out of town for some rest, reflection, relaxation and recreating, Buzz and I encourage you to take a break from your everyday life and explore all the cool outdoor activities offered locally.
And on Memorial Day, please take a moment to honor the sacrifice of those who have paid the ultimate price for all of our freedoms.
The annual Memorial Day parade begins downtown at 10 a.m. and the ceremony in Oak Grove cemetery is always moving and pays tribute to those who have been instrumental in preserving the freedoms we cherish as Americans today. If you haven’t experienced it, please plan to do so this year.
