Recent crimes: catalytic convertors and jewelry stolen, threatening texts

Chelsea Police logoIn this week’s Chelsea Police blotter, an off duty Michigan State Trooper spotted a woman driving erratically and pulled up next to her and found she was steering with her knees and using both hands to light a pipe that’s used to smoke marijuana.

Police were called to the 1100 block of South Main Street for a report of three catalytic convertors stolen from vehicles and there was a report of mirrors broken off a car on Lincoln Street.

A woman reported jewelry stolen from her apartment and another woman called people because her ex-boyfriend was sending threatening text messages.
