Recent obituary: Charles Edgar ‘Chuck’ Lilly, Robert Lee Rosentreter

Charles Edgar “Chuck” Lilly of Chelsea, age 86, died Jan. 2, 2018 at Chelsea Retirement Community.

Charles was born in Macon, IL the son of E. B. Spurgeon Lilly and Beulah Mae Lanter.

He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a Cryptographer in Alaska. Chuck was a past president and life member of the Decatur, IL Jaycees and a JCI senator for IL.  He was a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in six states and a member of The American College of Nursing Home Administrators.  In retirement, Chuck was a Gold Member of SCORE Chapter #296 Decatur, IL and SCORE Chapter # 493 Osage Beach, MO.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel.

Robert Lee Rosentreter of Munith, age 59, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at Allegiance Hospital in Jackson.

He was born Dec. 9, 1958 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of John and Irla M. (Scripter) Rosentreter.

Bob did property maintenance for the Portage Lake trailer park for many years. He then worked for Dexter Research until he became disabled in 2009. Bob loved hunting, fishing, camping and horseshoes.

The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel, Saturday, Jan. 6, 2-4 p.m.
