Richard Harold “Dick” Bauer of Chelsea, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1926, in Grover Hill, Ohio, the son of Edwin and Eva (Hart) Bauer. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. On Feb. 27, 1947, he married Frances E. Shouse in Chelsea and she survives.
Dick had lived in the area since 1950, and worked at Rockwell Standard for 36 years, retiring in 1980. He worked for the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home for many years, beginning in 1981. He loved Allis-Chalmers tractors, hunting, fishing, and his family.
