Ilene Kathleen Thibeault of Chelsea, age 87, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1928, in River Rouge, MI, the daughter of Kenneth and Margarette (Wilkes) McMillan. She had lived the area permanently since 1982, however, she enjoyed spending time at the lake since 1960. She had worked as a school bus driver for Taylor Public Schools for 10 years. Her favorite pastimes included flowers and gardening, going on walks, and she enjoyed dinners at the Wolverine.
On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Francis Xavier Thibeault in Ecorse and he survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Roni (Lenard) Kass of Chelsea; three grandchildren: Randy (Kim) Windham, Sean (Corinne) Kass, and Stefanie Kass; four great-grandchildren: Bailey, Bryce, Cash, and Croy; one sister, Lois (Leonard) Ryan of Hackberry, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Douglas M. Thibeault.
