Karen J. Edgar of Chelsea, age 59, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1956, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Norman and Oletta (Burry) Lyon. Karen had lived in the area for the past 20 years, coming from Royal Oak, MI, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and also Pontiac, had been a Girl Scout Leader, and volunteered at Faith in Action. She loved spending time with her family and going on family vacations that included rock climbing, white water rafting, horseback riding, exploring caves, and backpacking.
