Michael Anthony Weiss of Chelsea, age 69, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at Angela Hospice in Livonia.
He was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan.
Mike is the son of Anthony O. and Mary Clare (Fuerst) Weiss.
Mike retired from Chrysler Proving Grounds where he was a driver/mechanic and a former Chief Union Steward for UAW Local 1284. He graduated from Centerline High School in 1968. He began his service in the National Guard in 1968, and was a member of the American Legion Post 31. Mike attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, with the V. Rev. Dr. William J. Canon Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
