Robert R. Gladstone of Stockbridge, age 86, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Chelsea Retirement Community.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1928 in Lansing Twp., MI the son of Roy and Marion Holmes Gladstone.
He had lived in the Ingham Co. area most of his life, retiring in 1979 from Central Fiber as Plant Manager after almost 25 years. He attended Kalamazoo College, set the clock at the Chelsea Tower, flew Cessna 172’s, and was a member of Inverness Country Club for 25 years. He was also a founding member of Smith’s Airport, now known as Howlett Airport. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1950-1952, and was a member of the American Legion Mackinder-Glenn 510 Post of Stockbridge.
