Reminder: Chelsea Virtual Shopping event May 4-5

(Chelsea Update would like to thank D&D Strategic Marketing for the information and graphic in this story.)

The future of shopping is Virtual, Forbes May 2012. May 2020 finds us in a very different world than anyone would have imagined.

Chelsea’s businesses have a strong spirit and genuine concern about the personal and economic well-being of the community.

To exemplify that spirit, several of the #shopchelseamich merchants have come together to virtually welcome people into their stores to share the inventory they have curated via a Facebook Live Virtual Shopping event.

Businesses participating in this pilot virtual shopping experience recognize the need to be flexible and adaptable.

“There are a lot of unknowns”, said Jennifer Fairfield, owner of The Garden Mill, “We need to begin the process of opening up our businesses in a safe and sustainable fashion”. The #shopchelseamich merchants are planning to hold a regularly scheduled shopping event that will adapt to an evolving environment cognizant of the need to conduct safe business practices for themselves and their customers.

The initial group of businesses participating in Virtual Shopping on May 4 and 5 includes FarmSudz, La Maison, Moran’s Consignments, The Garden Mill, Wines on Main, Jewelry Set-In-Stone, Vintage Barn Boutique/Copper Crate Rentals, Culture Creations, Maureen’s Designs and True North Jerky.

Be sure to check them out for a Mother’s Day or Graduation Gift.

he participating store schedule will be posted at  www.shopchelseamich.com website and on their Facebook page @shopchelseamich.

Virtual Shopping is brought to you by #shopcheleamich, a group of independent business owners who possess entrepreneurial spirits. This collaborative team includes a network of 35+ Chelsea merchants and restaurants who have participated in and promoted Wine, Women & Shopping, Chocolate Extravaganza, and Sidewalk Sales events over the years.
