Matthew Millar, who for the last three months has had a studio above Smokehouse 52 BBQ on Main Street, has moved his business to a new location at 10815 Boyce Road in Lyndon Township.

He plans to reopen his business there on Friday, Feb. 14 for Valentine’s Day.

“Thank you, Chelsea and surrounding area residents for a successful launch of Renovatio Woodworks,” Millar said.

He said he’s enjoying “selling many hand-crafted re-purposed woodworking items, taking on commission works, and meeting a whole lot of people that really enjoy what we provide.”

He’s moving to a much larger and beautiful spot in the country.

“Our new shop and studio will be located in the upper level of a beautiful restored barn from the 1800s,” he said, adding, “It is no longer just a store, but a destination in the country outside of Chelsea by 10 minutes.”

He says that customers can “enjoy a beautiful setting and fresh air while viewing our latest creations, or perhaps pick out the very wood that we will use to build something special just for them.”

Plus, until May 2014, he’ll be taking 20-percent off all new work/commissions and existing woodwork in stock.

“Our new location will be up and ready for the brave at heart (and dressed warmly) on the Valentine’s day, but visitors are asked to call 734-545-0505 before arrival.

His winter and spring hours are:
