Saline-Chelsea Ski Team rebounds on the slopes

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Laura Dillmann for the information in this story.)

After a disappointing race on Tuesday, the Saline-Chelsea Ski Team had a great rebound Thursday night.

The team had 3 finishers in the top 10. On the boy’s side, Erik Koseck had two outstanding runs, taking 2nd place overall.

Caden Faupel also had two great runs, finishing in 10th place. Finishing the scoring for the boys was Mason Kipley in 48th and Christian Harrison in 63rd place.

Overall, the boys placed 8th of 11 teams, their best performance this season.

On the girl’s side, Katie McInnis took 8th place and Nikki Dillmann finished in 12th place. Rounding out the scoring for the girls were Elizabeth Johnson 28, and Ally Dillmann in 30th.

The girls took 5th place (out of 10 teams) overall.

“I like seeing different skiers stepping in each race to help round out the team points,” said coach Laura Dillmann, who added, “While this may look like an individual sport, every team member contributes. We’re really starting to build some depth to this young team and it’s exciting to watch.”
