Save the date: Sept. 26 ‘Growing Local’ screening

CCK-logo-small(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kathy Carter for the information in this story.)

Chelsea Community Kitchen is thrilled to present the documentary “Growing Local” on Sept 26, co-hosted by Robin Hills Farm.

The free film screening will be preceded by a “farm to table” dinner courtesy of Robin Hills “Garden Party” class.  Tickets for the dinner will go on sale soon, with proceeds benefiting CCK.

The screening will be followed by a community discussion on the film featuring a panel of experts.

Help plan the fall classes offered by Chelsea Community Kitchen at the Program Committee Meeting on Aug. 19, 7-8 p.m., at 128 Park St.

We need ideas, instructors, venues, and volunteers to pull it all together. Other information and questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Check out the latest blog post on the CCK website– Technique Tips:  Roasting Peppers.

There are three different blogs on the CCK website site: In Season talks about produce you can find in abundance at the time of the post.

Technique Tips offers suggestions for preparing products, and Farm Profiles gives you more info about local farms.

Chelsea Community Kitchen is devoted to creating a healthy, local, and sustainable food culture through classroom and real-world education.
