The fruits of fall have arrived at the Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market.

Come early to get fresh raspberries as well as plums, pears, apples, and grapes, and there’s the possibility of peaches and melons.

Tomatoes, corn, colorful peppers, zucchini, onions, eggplant and many more vegetables will be available, too.

You’ll also find an array of herbs and seasonings, honey, eggs, and a choice of fresh baked goods including breads, muffins, cakes and cookies.

The market is located at Palmer Commons on Main Street and runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

This week’s music will be provided by Annie and Rod Capps.

There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.

To learn more about what to expect each week at the farmers markets, visit the website at www.chelseafarmersmkt.org, visit the Chelsea Farmers Market Facebook page, or e-mail [email protected].
