Enjoy a performance by Comedian Chris Young along with a dinner buffet at Captain Joe’s Grill in Whitmore Lake on Saturday, Sept. 28, to benefit the Chelsea area dog foster facility Mikey & Me.
The fundraiser takes place beginning at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. and the comedy show at 8 p.m. The cost is $75 per ticket.
The buffet dinner will include prime rib and chicken Marsala along with a vegetable medley, dessert, and a cash bar. There will be free give-a-ways, a silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing.
Rita Bramlett is the contact for the event and says donations will go toward the cost of food, housing supplies, and medical treatment for dogs at Mikey & Me.
“In addition, Mikey & Me owner Dan Depew has started a program to start spaying and neutering dogs in poor communities to try and keep potentially hundreds of puppies from being born, only to be abandoned or euthanized later,” said Bramlett.
“It should be a fun evening for all,” said Bramlett. “Most importantly, it will support much needed funding to help save dogs.”
