The Chelsea Outdoor Farmers Markets will run through the end of October.

Come visit the Wednesday market this week for a huge variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Herbs and seasonings will also be for sale. Check out Smiling Jim’s low sodium organic seasoning blends. Deb and Jim Bliss raise the peppers and other ingredients used in their seasoning mixes in their Tecumseh garden. You’ll find seasoning flavors for poultry, beef, pork, fish, chili, and more.

If you want raspberries, get to the market early because they sell out fast.

Fresh breads, cakes, and cookies will also be available.

The Chelsea Wednesday Farmers Market runs from 1-5 p.m. and is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52.

There is a regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
