The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints of thefts from vehicles and increases in larcenies from motor vehicles referred to as “LFA’s”.
These are crimes of opportunity which can be decreased by simply locking your vehicle.
Preventing crime is not just a law enforcement issue, it’s a community issue; by working together we can decrease and deter these types of crimes.
Putting valuables within your vehicles out of sight, reporting suspicious persons and activities along with locking your vehicle will help in thwarting LFA’s in our communities and neighborhoods.
