‘Skin, Scat and Skulls’ hands-on program at Eddy Discovery Center Sunday

On Sunday, Feb. 24, the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center in Sylvan Township will be the location for Skin, Scat and Skulls, a hands-on program presented by naturalist and educator Dave Szczygiel, who will bring his large collection of Michigan animal skins and skulls, as well as other animal specimens.

The program takes place from 2-3 p.m. and participants will learn how various creatures use their specialized body parts for survival and how you can recognize animal signs in the wild.

Following the program, there will be an optional outdoor walk to look for evidence of animals living around the Discovery Center.

The cost is $2 per person or $5 for a family.

The Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center is at 17030 Bush Road in the Waterloo Recreation Area.

Advance registration requested at 475-3170.
