Special community service Sunday at St. Paul United Church of Christ

Here’s a great way to keep that community spirit going on the last day of fair week.

On Sunday, Aug. 26 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ and First Congregational United Church of Christ invite the community to a special outdoor worship service.

Pastor Jim Coyl of St. Paul said the sister United Church of Christ congregations invite everyone to a casual service under a tent with a BBQ and potluck to follow the service.

St. Paul is located at 14600 Old US-12.

He said the two churches will come together in worship and the service is an open invitation to the entire community to joint in “the spirit of renewed cooperation and a sense of community and hope.”

“We want to break down the perceived barriers of coming to church,” Coyl said, adding that this way a way for people to come together at the end of fair week and dedicate themselves “to what’s next,” in a spirit of prayer, cooperation and community.
