St. Louis Center celebrated the 25th year of its Golf & Glory Outing with back-to-back special events on Sunday, June 23 and Monday, June 24.

A special $100 a plate dinner was held at Paesano’s Restaurant in Ann Arbor hosted by owners Mike and Bridget Roddy, and honored co-founder Al Zangara of Grass Lake for his 25 years of participation.

The next day, 144 golfers came out to support St. Louis Center during its Silver Anniversary Outing event at UM Golf Course.  According to Fr. Enzo Addari, SdC. and CEO of the facility, “It was a great event, the people in attendance were very happy to support our residents today, and we didn’t get a drop of rain.”

Participating Gold sponsors included Emerick Investment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors and MI State Council – Knights of Columbus. Silver sponsors were J.F. Dunn Enterprises, Inc., Alhambra Manresa Caravan, Bank of Ann Arbor, Edward Jones Investments – Diane Kieliszewski/Brent Martin, Metro Cars, Nagle Paving, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital-Chelsea, United Capital – A2, A.Z. Shmina, Inc., Allied Inc., and Hole in One Sponsors were Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM and Chelsea Chevrolet Buick.

Along with great golf, the outing included a sports memorabilia auction, an auction of fine Italian red wines, and $17,000 in pledges toward the purchase of a wheelchair van.

Two service awards were given (Panelli and Wagner Awards), along with sponsor recognition, hole prizes, and acknowledgement of the top two winning teams. Finally, the Alaskan Cruise Raffle winner was Mary Frances Fielder of Manchester-St. Mary Parish.
