The countdown to the opening of the Chelsea Farmers’ Markets is on …

April is here, and the official countdown to opening day of Chelsea’s two farmers’ markets is fast approaching.

The Saturday Farmers’ Market will open for the season on May 4 from 8 a.m.-noon, while the Bushel Basket Farmers’ Market at Chelsea Community Hospital will open on Wednesday, May 8 at 2:30-6 p.m.

Here’s the current list of seasonal and daily vendors expected to be at the Saturday Farmers’ Market.

Keep in mind, this list may change before opening day, Ashley Miller Helmholdt, new market manager.

(We’ll update you with the list of vendors expected at the Bushel Basket Market later this month.)

Full Season Vendors:

Janet’s LLC – Herbs and spices, blends and grilling rubs, flavored nuts, chocolate, jams, dolls and greeting cards

Kapnick Orchard – Fresh fruits, from strawberries and raspberries to apples and cherries.
