Eric Keaton, Kathryn Tinsley and Steven J. Wright applied for the Chelsea City Council vacancy to fill the term left open when Jane Pacheco was elected mayor in November.
On Jan. 3, there will be an update on the process at the first meeting of the City Council meeting of the new year.
Interviews by the City Council will take place at a special meeting on Jan. 10.
On Jan. 18, the City Council will make the appointment at the beginning of the meeting and the appointee will be sworn in.
The appointee’s term ends November 2023, when there will be another City Council election.
