Transition Town Chelsea’s June potluck will take place on Monday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Chelsea Senior Center, 512 E. Washington St.
Bob Van Bemmelen and Mark Anderson will be with the group to answer the question: What kind of money system would we have if we could choose? They will discuss ideas based on Social Credit, which was developed many decades ago in response to the severe economic difficulties of that time. They’ll also propose a local initiative called “Unity” which is based on circulating discount coupons through merchants in the community.
The potluck portion starts at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation begins at about 7:15 p.m.
If you plan to attend the potluck portion, please bring a dish to pass and your own place settings. Entrees, appetizers, and desserts are all appreciated.
