On Wednesday, Chelsea residents and current Council Members Cheri Albertson and Melissa Johnson filed petitions to run for office in the Nov. 7 Chelsea City Council election.
Albertson filed to run as a City Council Member and Johnson filed to run for mayor.
The deadline to submit petitions is Tuesday, July 25 at 4 p.m.
