Winter Weather Advisory: beginning early Wednesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning at 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning for widespread freezing rain, with some sleet.

There may be a change-over to rain before ending Wednesday afternoon due to warming temperatures.

Total ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch expected.

This advisory is expected to continue from 1 a.m. Wednesday through 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hazardous and slick travel conditions are likely, especially on untreated roadways, bridges, exit ramps, and overpasses.

Motorists should anticipate highly variable driving conditions based on treated versus untreated roadways.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
