(Chelsea Update would like to thank Adam French for the information in this story.)

Good day of wrestling for Chelsea on Saturday.

The A-team competed at South Lyon finishing 3-2, 3rd out of 8 teams. Losing to DeWitt 56-6 (ranked 2nd in the state D2 by Michigan grappler) and to Lake Fenton 43-24 (ranked 6th in the state D3).

Chelsea defeated Fowlerville 46-31, South Lyon 57-24, and Walled Lake Western 75-6. There were tons of great matches.

Finishing with outstanding records were:

Jacob Jacobusse 5-0
Corbyn Munson 4-1, who defeated a DeWitt opponent currently ranked 10th in D2
Nicholas Matusko 4-1
Mitchell Reynolds 3-1

It was a great day with tons of tough match ups. Really proud of how our men competed.

The Chelsea B-team headed to Stockbridge and also had a great day of competition.

The team defeated Concord 50-18, Stockbridge 60-6 and lost to Vandercook Lake 42-37, to DeWitt B-team 47-33, and to Lansing Sexton 60-12.

Chelsea had 3 undefeated wrestlers on the day.

They were:
Eric Whitaker 4-0
James Mida 4-0
Josiah Fitch 5-0.

Great day for the men to get some varsity experience and a chance to compete at a higher level. Very exciting for Chelsea to put together two varsity teams that are competitive.

The future looks bright for the Bulldogs.
