S-and-S-logo-2016

Now in its fifth week, Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, continues its free summer concert series Thursday, July 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Professional artists perform at eleven staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, family entertainment, and magic.

This week magician, Jeff Wawrzaszek of A2 Magic entertains all ages at the kid’s stage, located near the Clocktower Complex fountain.  Wawrzaszek combines sleight-of-hand magic with family-friendly comedy for a show that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.

The stellar music line-up includes Annie and Rod Capps performing original songs as well as Americana classics with a rootsy vibe at Katie’s Korner on the Library lawn.  On South Street, Bill Bynum and Co., mix a harmony of vocals, guitar, banjo, fiddle and bass for a unique journey of bluegrass and country.

Singer-songwriter, Mike Vial, performs folk and pop at the East Alley stage and Kendall Cassella and East of Every brings indie to the Chelsea Alehouse Brewery. Rock n’ rollers, Coconut Radio, perform at the Gazier Building and Corndaddy returns to East Middle Street with alternative rock and country.

The eclectic instrumental of Joe Summer’s Jazzabilly Sedan will get spectators dancing at Sylvan Courtyard, while David Bloom and Friends delight with jazz at the Clocktower Gazebo.

Chelsea Chalk Art, beneath the Chelsea Clocktower on Main Street, provides chalk and drawing examples for all ages and levels of expertise.  The theme this week is “Birds of a Feather”.

After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week SRSLY presents Sponge Bob: Sponge Out of Water (PG) 92.
