12 vehicle larcenies in last 25 days in Western Washtenaw

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office logo In the past 25 days throughout the west side of the county, there have been 12 larcenies from autos during which the thief has broken out the window of a car.

Taken were purses or bags left sitting on the front seat of the car, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation has revealed a possible suspect vehicle – a white 2004 Ford Taurus. Residents are asked to call 911 immediately if they see a vehicle matching this description in or around a business parking lot.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Chelsea Police Department remind residents to always lock your car doors and do not leave personal items in plain view when it is unattended.
