Participants in the 8th Annual Wine Women Shopping event had another beautiful day and there was a great turnout according to organizers.
The ladies enjoyed lunch in a number of restaurants and Chelsea businesses pulled out all the stops to make it an enjoyable day with special deals, giveaways and great discounts.
Merkel Furniture and Carpet One always has a great giveaway, and Mule Skinner Boots gave away a pair of boots and they were won by Laura Holson, who said she’s never won anything before.
There was a great crowd at the Artisan Market in The Depot and the Chelsea Artist Guild in the Clocktower Commons.
WAAM Radio talk show host Thayrone Xington was spotted having lunch at the Common Grill and enjoying the band at Seitz’s Tavern.
New to the event this year were Smokehouse 52 BBQ, Chelsea Hearth & Fireplaces, The River Gallery, and Wolverine Food & Spirits, which had the Sandhill Crane Vineyards wine tasting.
There was also a food drive as part of this year’s event to help stock the shelves at Faith in Action. Located on the Chelsea Community Hospital grounds at 603 Main St., paper and canned goods are always needed, so please stop by and donate.
