Beach Middle School football results from Tuesday night

The Beach Middle School 7th grade gold football team lost last night. Tuesday. Oct. 9, to Ypsilanti Lincoln. The Bulldogs were led on the ground by Aiden Blockton. Cross Lucas completed passes to Braden Steele and Collin Pustay. Max Andrews and James Mida led the defense and Steele had a fumble recovery.

The 7th grade blue football team lost to Bedford, 44-0. On offense, Tom Steele connected with Corbyn Munson and Sam Yax, which resulted in big yardage. The defense caused four turnovers. Ben Brown picked off a Bedford pass, which he ran back for 20-plus yards, Patrick Bertoni recovered two fumbles, while Will McFate recovered another. Yax forced one of Bedford’s fumbles and Gus Reynolds had at least 9 tackles as an outside linebacker. Riley Lukomski also made a number of key tackles on defense as an inside linebacker.

The 8th grade gold team fell to Lincoln, 38-6. Playing great defense for the Bulldogs were Max Woodcock, Drew Anstead, Alex Vasquez, Cal Barrett, and Callum Krause. Fumble recoveries were made by Clayton Woody, Connor Christian and Vasquez. Making some great contributions on offense were Jordan Smith, Jacob Jacobusse, Chris Roush, and Cam Cooper with catches. While Barrett, Anstead, Cash Shegan, Krause, and Cooper made plays in the running game.

The 8th grade blue football team lost last night to Bedford but, Joey Wise and Matt McDaniels scored touchdowns. Hayden Wright and Matt Klink had some key blocks while Ryan Mitchell added a 2-point conversion. Kolin Clark and Preston Ewald played well defensively.
