Final Beach Middle School football results

(Chelsea Update would like to thank the football coaches and Jason Morris, middle school athletic director, for providing football results this season.)

Here are the final games results for the Beach Middle School football teams, which were played Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The 7th grade gold football team finished the season with a loss to Dexter. Aiden Blockton, Cross Lucas, Braden Steele, Kollin Pustay and Parker Doan led the offense. Nick Bleise led the defense with a fumble recovery and an interception. Mason Trinkle also intercepted a 2-point conversion attempt. James Mida and Max Andrews led the team in tackles. Congrats on a good season.

The 7th grade blue football team lost 50-6 to Tecumseh. Here are the highlights: Corbyn Munson caught a nice pass from Tom Steele. Also, Ben Brown had some nice runs, while Evan Kucera played in the second half to block well at center. On special teams, Alex Sanborn had three kick returns, while Steele returned a kickoff in the closing minutes of the game for the only score. Some key blocks were made by Zac Yeakey, Jeret Hirst, Blake Engler, Ethan Corkin-Howell, Riley Lukomski, and Tyler Hargenrater.

The 8th grade blue football team concluded their season with an exciting, 12-12 tie against Tecumseh. Matt Klink intercepted the ball with 43 seconds left to give the offense one last chance at a Hail Mary, which was incomplete. Mikal Nelson and Matt McDaniels scored touchdowns on passes from Jack Bush. Bryce Jubenville and Ryan Mitchell also caught passes. Chase Friday, Cole Septer, Eric Whitaker, and Pat Conlin played well on defensive. Kolin Clark did a great job kicking. Good season, Dogs.
