Did you know that October is bowling month?
And, I bet you didn’t know that three games of bowling expends as much energy as running a mile.
Ed Greenleaf, owner of Chelsea Lanes, is helping folks join the 5 Healthy Towns’ initiative to “move more” while doing something fun – bowling.
He’s offering classes for all ages as well. There’s Bowling 2.0, which includes not just time on the lanes, but also classroom instruction, and it’s designed to improve your game in just four short weeks. The class teaches bowlers everything from the correct stretching techniques to how to safely pick up the ball and includes a video analysis of your technique.
He’s also starting a four-week adult-child bowling league at 2 p.m. on Sundays to encourage the whole family to enjoy this growing sport, which will helping you to find additional fun ways to get out and move more. All the details are on these fliers.
Remember, to make the type size bigger, hit control and plus (+).
