Visitors to Rick Eder’s Farm Bureau Insurance office in Chelsea can see an original work of art called The Tree of Life, painted by his wife Kim Eder. It’s displayed on the wall seen as soon as one enters the office.

“On the tree we will be placing names of children that have life insurance with us,” said Warrens.

Farm Bureau Insurance’s slogan is “Protecting the people of Michigan from the risks of everyday life,” and Eder says that he wants to protect families from the risk of a loved one not coming home again.

“Life insurance is not for the person that leaves us, rather for the loved ones left behind,” says Eder, adding that he wouldn’t want his family worrying about college tuition, mortgage payments or the costs of daily life.

Many life insurance policies have the ability to return all premiums paid after 20 years.

Another incentive to buy a life insurance policy from the Rick Eder Agency, is that for every policy the agency submits, it will donate $25 to Ele’s Place in Ann Arbor, which is a healing center for grieving children and teens.

“Personally, my wife, Kim and I both lost our fathers at a young age,” said Eder. “What a difference it would have made for us if a place like Ele’s Place had been around to help us understand what was going on in our lives.”

To see the Tree of Life visit Eder’s office at 1250 S. Main St. For more information, call 475-9184 or click here.
