Your Beach Middle School football results from Tuesday, Sept. 25

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Jason Morris, middle school director of athletics, for these results.)

The Beach Middle School 7th grade gold football team lost to Bedford Tuesday night, Sept. 25, but the Bulldog defense shut out the Mules in the second half led by James Mida with a fumble recovery and several tackles.

Also recording tackles were Braden Steele, Max Andrews and Quentin Beck.

The offense was led by Cross Lucas‘ passing and Aiden Chisolm-Blockton‘s rushing. Collin Pustay also had a nice catch.

The team showed great improvement.

The 7th Grade blue football team lost to Dexter but highlights included Ben Brown gaining yardage rushing the ball.  Zac Yeakey, Matt Van Buren, and Tom Steele all had nice kick returns.  Corbyn Munson caused a fumble, while Sam Yax recovered it.

The team will practice hard for its upcoming game against Monroe.

Also Tuesday night, the 8th grade gold football team fell to a tough Bedford opponent.

The defense played hard with quarterback sacks by Nick Whitesall, Andrew Klink, Drew Anstead, Clayton Woody, Cash Shegan, Austin Boatright, and Alex Vasquez.

The offense moved the ball with great running by Callum Krause, Cam Cooper, and Chris Rousch.  In addition, Cooper and Rousch also had a reception each.

The 8th grade blue football team lost a close, hard fought game to Dexter, 18-12.

The offensive line played great, which allowed Jack Bush to complete several passes to four different receivers — Reed Aldrich, Mikal Nelson, Bryce Jubenville and Ryan Mitchell.

Defensively, Cole Septer led the team in tackles and Eric Whitaker recovered a key fumble to give the Bulldogs a chance to win at the end.
