Already dreaming of this year’s Chelsea Community Fair

Meet Miss Fox. My cross-stitch project for the 2019 Chelsea Community Fair.

The school year’s over.

The weather is warming up.

Hope you’ve had time to plant your flowers and veggies for the green barn.

It’s officially time to be thinking about the Chelsea Community Fair, which will run from Tuesday, Aug. 20 thru Saturday. Aug. 24.

And the volunteer fair board has spent the fall, winter and spring preparing for this year’s event and has planned some wonderful new additions.

It’s a foxy kind of year. Another fox in progress.

On Friday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., families will get free admission to fair and rides will begin at noon.

Also on Friday, Military Day, all current and prior service members will have free admission.

The Merchant Barn, which filled quickly last year, is filling fast for this year’s event so if you would like to have a booth, please fill out this form and get it mailed in.

The time is now to also begin thinking about your entries for the 2019 Hobby Barn. This year’s fair book should be out soon and you can begin thinking about what you’d like to enter in one of the following departments – Agricultural, Antiques, Floriculture, Arts & Hobbies, Photography, Baking, Canning, Sewing, Quilts and Needlework – all with different age groups.

The Chelsea Community Fair continues to award premium money for placing entries and people of all ages are eligible to enter.
