The Washtenaw County Road Commission will impose lane restrictions on McKinley Road for prep and paving of the bridge over Mill Lake Drain in Sylvan and Lima townships beginning Wednesday, April 29.
According to the press release from the Road Commission, the road improvements are expected to be completed on Friday, May 1, but due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
Traffic delays are likely and motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. Access for adjoining property owners located within the construction zone will be maintained.
To ensure the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of the construction activities, including personnel and equipment, and reduce speeds accordingly. During the placement of the hot asphalt, pedestrians and cyclists should keep clear of the area; burns are possible from contact with hot asphalt.
