Back Forty Acres in Sylvan Township is having special farm hours on Dec. 15 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. if you’re interested in purchasing a pasture-raised turkey for your Christmas dinner. The farm is located at 17410 Heim Road in Sylvan Township.
Broad breasted whites are on sale for $4.50 per pound.
And, if you’ve ever thought about serving duck or chicken for the holidays, the farm offers these birds as well. Whole Pekin duck is on sale for $5.20 per pound and a whole chicken is on sale for $3.30 per pound.
The farm also offers select cuts of duck and chicken, stewing hens, limited cuts of beef and pork. Click here for a list of what’s available.
