Below is a recap of the 7th and 8th grade gold volleyball teams’ results.
7th Grade Gold
The 7th Grade Gold Volleyball team lost a close match to Saline on Monday night, Oct. 14. They lost the first game 21-25, then came back and won the second game 25-19. In the tiebreaker set, the girls lost 16-25. Peyton Lajiness and Tori Walz each had a 4-point run with one ace. Corrine Dale and Karie Reiber each had a 3-point run with one ace. While Sierra Law and Skylar Staton each added an ace to the night. Great job girls.
8th Grade Gold
The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team played Saline on Monday night, Oct. 14, losing the first 2 games in a tight competition, 21-25 and 25-27 and winning the 3rd game 25-21. Highlights include great defensive work from Grace Bush, Alise Hale and Kaehla Manly in the first game. Strong serving from Kara Nold with 6 points including 5 aces and Audrey Phillips with 8 points and 5 aces brought the team to a close 2nd game.
Overall team effort helped the Dawgs in the 3rd game with Maggie Duve serving for 4 points with 1 ace, Kaehla Manly had 5 serves and 2 aces, and Nold with 4 serves and 3 aces. Rachel Stubbs had some key saves at the net as well. Nice work team.
