Beach Middle School Football Recap

(Chelsea Update would like to thank David Slusser and David Rhodes and for the information in this story.)

7th grade

The seventh grade Beach Middle School football team hosted Jackson Parkside middle school on Tuesday.

Zack Tropea forced a safety in the end zone on the first drive of the game, which were the only two points by the Dogs in the game.

Tyler Place played well at defensive end and made several key plays. Landon Barkey showed great leadership at the QB position and Xander Kemner had several big catches on the night.

8th grade blue

The 8th grade Blue team lost to Saline Tuesday night 44-22.

The Dawgs had a rough first half and then regrouped to outscore the Hornets 22-14 in the second half.

The Bulldogs scored twice on 70-yard jet passes from Caden Steele to EJ Milan. Hunter Burk ran in the 2-point conversions on those two TDs. The third touchdown was a QB sneak by Steele.

The offensive line did a great job opening big holes for the running game. Ilo Peroni, Draper Montgomery, and Kaiden Trevino made several good plays on defense.

The Bulldogs will host Monroe next Tuesday at 5:30.

8th grade gold

The eighth grade Gold football team ran into a buzz saw from Clinton Tuesday night giving up 52 points in a home field loss.

Clinton’s uncommonly seen offense and defense presented the Bulldogs with plenty of problems and kept the Dogs off the scoreboard until the final quarter when quarterback Buck Allen hit running back Becket Boos with a pass completion. Boos found the end zone some 35 yards later.

It was Allen to Boos again for the points after TD. Final score Dogs 8 – Redskins 52. While Chelsea struggled the entire game, game captain, Ben Fischer, turned in an outstanding performance on the offensive and defensive lines and on each special team…playing every single down for the Dogs.

Next week, the Gold team re-links at home with the Blue to take on Monroe.
