Beach Middle School lacrosse opens season with 16-0 win

The Beach Middle School lacrosse team, coached by Mikal Nelson along with assistant coaches Aidan Kurth and Ryan Ratliff, had its first game on Thursday hosting Belleville and finished with a 16-0 victory.

The Bulldog team of more than 30 7th and 8th graders got off to a fast start. Kellen Ahlstrom scored the first of his 3 goals of the game for the Dogs who were up 6-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

James Chinavare got his first of two goals to start the 2nd quarter.  The defense continued their solid play and the Dogs finished the first half up 9-0.

Ben Potter got things started in the 3rd quarter putting the Bulldogs up 10-0.  Chelsea scored two more goals in the 3rd and finished the quarter up 12-0.

The Bulldogs scored 4 goals in the final period making the final 16-0.  Goaltender Massimo Cugliari along with the entire defense stood tall not allowing a goal by Belleville.
