Monday night, the Beach Middle School 7th grade gold volleyball girls lost their match to Lincoln. They won the first game of the set then lost the next two. Kendall Tucker had a 4-point service run with one ace, Kaehla Manly had a 3-point service run with one ace, and Mallory Downer had an 8-point service run with another an ace.
The 7th grade blue volleyball team defeated Dexter last night, winning the first two games 25-16, 25-15 and losing a nail biter in the third game, 23-25. Claire Kelly led all servers with 9 points, Peyton Vandegrift had 6 points, Kara Nold had 5 points while Zoe Steigerwald, Emily Griggs and Lexi Clark each had 3 points. Alise Hale, Melissa Jolly and Ellie Verrette each had 2 points. Sydney Hines, Paige Romelhardt, Emma Verrette and Maggie Duve each had 1 point.
The 8th grade blue volleyball team won its first match against Dexter last night. The Bulldogs took the first game 27-25, lost the second game 25-23, and won the third game 25-18. Skylar Kerr, Nicole Bareis, and Olivia Leonard led the Bulldog’s defense, and Abby Baries, Shaunna Caffrey, and Allie Heinen served several aces in the match. The entire team played hard and contributed to the exciting win.
The 8th grade gold volleyball lost 16-25, 17-25, 16-25 to Lincoln. Top servers for the night were Cassie Lungo with 5 points, Anna Knight with 4 points, while Hannah Stock and Megan Harrington with 3 points each. Sara Stribe scored 2 points. Leading the defense were Autumn Johnson and Kelsey Walz.
