Beach Middle School volleyball teams continue play

7Gold
The 7th grade Gold volleyball team continued to battle this week on the court before being defeated by Jackson Parkside.

Chelsea lost the first set 27-25 followed by another loss 25-17 before finishing the third set with a win 25-22.

Maggie McKale and Lily Hansen had consistent serves as well as a couple of aces. Amy Budd, Jane Eberhardt, Kennedy Anderson contributed with serving some of the Bulldog points and Anna Brandt was tough at the net during the match.

7Gold plays at home on Monday.

8Gold
8th grade gold volleyball tallied up a solid win in all 3 sets Wednesday against Jackson Parkside. (25-16) (25-22) (25-11).

Leading servers were Charlotte Diesing with 12, Allie Schumann with 9, and Katie Jedele and Tori Parish each with 6. Rory Mickle had her best night servings. Jenna Ouellette set up several nice hitting opportunities to give Sasha French and Diesing 2 hits each.  Madison Morgandid well at the net and Grace Ratliff added a tip and a great block.

7Blue
The 7th grade Blue Volleyball team lost the first two sets to Dexter at home Wednesday night, 14-25, 12-25, but put in a strong finish winning the 3rd, 25-21.

Kylie Beckel and Ellie Kuck shared serving honors with 6 points each. Emily White chipped in 3 and Alaina James and Jazmine Ropp had 2 apiece. Claire Ashe had excellent play at the net and the back row.

8Blue
8th grade blue volleyball team fell to Dexter 23-25, 23-25 and 10-25.

Caroline Knight and Sophie Stone had some strong kills at the net and Gabriella Basar had a strong block for a point side out for Chelsea.
