Becca Reesman received her doctorate in Physics from The Ohio State University at the Aug. 10 commencement.
She attended North Creek Elementary, Beach Middle and Chelsea High School graduating in 2005. Reesman earned her bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Carnegie Mellon University.
Attending the commencement ceremony were her parents, Dr. Michael and Marti Welsh, as well as Chelsea friends Mary Lou Hahn-Setta and Jackie Setta-Popadich.
Reesman is pursuing a career in science and technology policy at a federal research center located in the Washington, DC area.
