CEF Awards $12,395 in Teacher Grants

(Chelsea Update would like to thank D&B Strategic Marketing for the information in this story.)

With the help of generous donors, the Chelsea Education Foundation (CEF) provides funding for a wide spectrum of educational activities to benefit the students and the staff of the Chelsea School District.

“Contributions made to CEF are given back to the school district through innovative grants for students, teachers, and administrators, and as scholarships to CHS graduates,” said Amy Forehand, Impact Committee Chair, in a press release.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, CEF decided to hold three teacher grant cycles for the 2020-21 school year – the first in October, the second in January, and the third in April.

“We hope that by providing multiple opportunities, we will help Chelsea teachers and students move through the changing landscape of virtual and hybrid teacher-student interaction. We are please that all COVID Hybrid and Virtual adaptation-related requests were 100-percent funded for 2020-2021 needs.”
